Getting to Tivoli

Our farm is situated about 180 km from Windhoek along 90 km of tarmac and 90 km of gravel road. The latter is perfectly serviceable, but you will certainly know you are in Africa! This is about a two hour drive. There are no large towns near our farm and there is no public transport.

Self-drive car rental is readily available in Windhoek including from the airport, and presents exciting opportunities for travel elsewhere in Namibia. Highlights include world-class game viewing at Etosha, the sublime Sossusvlei dunes and for the astronomer perhaps the world`s largest intact meteorite at Hoba. However rental charges are by the day and not cheap, so if you are here mainly for the astronomy it might not make the best sense to park a rental car outside an observatory for several days.

We would be delighted to collect you from the airport and return you there at the end of your stay with us.
