Remote Experience Report

Matthias and Tobias remote under the southern sky

Matthias and Tobias sit in the office in Germany and marvel at the beautiful sunset 9000 km away on the Tivoli farm in Namibia. How is that possible? This is made possible by the external camera of one of the four remote observatories, which are located on this beautiful astro farm by Kirsten and Reinhold and are just waiting to send their fantastic hypergraph (400f8) remotely or on site to hunt for photons. I have been traveling to the Schreiber family every year for 11 years now and I hunt for objects in the universe at night and hunt for objects of flora and fauna on the farm during the day. From the experience point of view, this is of course not to be topped, but you cannot be there every month to photographically enjoy the constantly changing views of the night sky. The remote "work" is more than just a replacement and also gives you a little Tivoli feeling through the external cameras. Clear -Remote is not on site, but it is a wonderful opportunity to “snatch” the most beautiful objects from the beautiful, clear and unimaginably rich Namibian sky at night. These objects always appear fantastic on the camera chip - remote or “shot” on site. Another tip at the end: you should of course adapt yourself to the conditions on Tivoli when it comes to "Remoten" enjoyment - when it comes to having pleasant company, good food, delicious beer or fine wine at work
