Farm Tour

In Europe a cow needs roughly 1800 square metres of grazing to be happy. How much do you think it would need on Tivoli? You might be surprised...

They are 120.000 square metres!

Would you like a glimpse at daily life on a Karakul-sheep farm? On our tour you can experience some of the challenges facing the farmer on the edge of the Kalahari desert. You will make some unexpected discoveries and emerge with a better understanding of the difficulties and differences involved.

We will show you typical Namibian livestock farming, different types of cattle and sheep, and one of the largest communal nests of the social weaver bird. We can answer general questions about all of these things as well as technical questions about farming.

The overwhelming impression is one of great expanse and of sparse but rich and varied life. It will literally broaden your horizons!
